Freaklabel recorded MONOLITH in a short three days in early two thousand seven. The result is something so huge, so over the top that it will punch you square in the face and keep pummeling you until the final throes. Due to its sheer sonic scope, power, and awe inspiring size, this album could have gone under no other name but simply MONOLITH. It is truly monolithic even based on definition alone, i.e. an organized whole that acts as a single unified powerful or influential force. I assure you that each and every Gear Head, along with the uninitiated, will be picking their collective jaw off the ground when the new Freaklabel material pummels its way into your skull. | ||||||||||||||||||

Live & Brutal
|

| Live & Brutal was recorded live January 28th 2006 at 3rd Street Live. The choice to record at 3rd Street was really an obvious one. In a business where assholes are plentiful and cutting throats is part of the regular day, Freaklabel caught an early break from owner Rocky. After regularly performing there for a few years, Freaklabel honed their skill and built a large fan base which eventually became known as the Gear Heads. It has been said that "the best lesson learned in playing a show with Freaklabel is to never go on after Freaklabel". Thanks to Rocky, Geno, and Ari, this extremely well recorded (probably the best live record this writer has ever heard) live album lays to rest any argument as to whether this statement is actually true. Freaklabel prove beyond a doubt that on stage, any stage, is where this band belongs and everyone will soon take notice....and bands will be taking notes! | |||||||||||||||||||
